Recently I got to work with Arun Drummond of Ad folk art once again. We had the best time together photographing some branding images in his studio last winter and I couldn't wait to work with him once again. Arun had his first gallery showing for his collection, Convergence scheduled for December and to make sure his show was going to be as successful as possible we needed to get together and get him some photos to use for his marketing. I was able to rent this amazing studio here in Charleston which served as the perfect backdrop to showcase his latest work. We intentionally chose this studio backdrop because we knew it would perfectly mimic the gallery his art was to be displayed in, and we wanted to make sure we had captured the vibes so the marketing images would be spot on to the accurate opening.
With the marketing photos done and the headshots ready, Arun got started marketing his show and I got busy prepping to photograph the big event.
What an awesome night! It was so great to get to see Arun's finished works on display and to capture him with all of the supporters who showed up that night. It was a great night of art and conversation and I'm so grateful Arun allowed me to be apart of capturing the evening for him. I have no doubts this is just the first of many shows for Arun and I can't wait to see what he creates in 2025.
